This is my favorite restaurant of all time. We travel extensively through the year and we have not found a better steak in any of the places we have gone too. Absoutley love love love this restaurant. Every time we walk in it feels as if we are coming home.
"Truly an Old Fashion Dining Experience"
I travel for business literally eating out at restaurants 300 nights a year all throughout this country and tonight I had a truly memorable experience.
A little throw back to a different era. If you are tired of chain food. Then this is a place for you to try out. Local as local can be and Old fashion outstanding service. The food was far and above better than anything else in Pine Bluff itself. I ended up have the salmon with a side of steamed broccoli. I will be completely honest, I've had better food at fancier places, but this was an experience I will remember for a long time. This will become my go to place while on business in Pine Bluff.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an excellent steak as well as seafood. You could not ask for a better person to greet you and make you feel as if you are her favorite customer as Dana. The salad bar is also wonderful as well as her black bottom pie. I manage a hotel in Pine Bluff and could not be more proud to recommend this restaurant to anyone., They all come back thanking me and sometimes I even get a piece of pie, lol.
Pine Bluff, Arkansas
The food is always top notch, and what you find in expensive restaurants elsewhere, yet very reasonably priced. Many of the staff have been there for years (some for decades), The atmosphere is great for families, friends, business, romance, parties, and even a quiet meal alone. The service is superb, and after a few visits, you're practically family. The servers are very attentive, yet let you dine in peace. The ribeyes are absolutely wonderful! Well, everything is. Fix your own salad at the salad bar, and eat all of the scrumptious bread they bring you, but remember to get dessert! Dine in or call in your order to take home.
Steaks were delicious, and cooked to perfection, trout and blackened tilapia were seasoned just right. Loved the old world atmosphere and the great service. I hope to have a chance to come back again some day.
Colonial serves maybe the best steaks in Arkansas. Not sure what you marinate your steaks with but it sure makes for a mouth watering taste. Located in an old school with "old school" personal service. A must place to dine in south Arkansas.
Of all the steak places I've been to, I have never tasted a steak like the ribeye at CSH. I'm not sure what the cooking process was, but it looked and tasted as if it were aged and smoked then charbroiled to a perfect medium just as I ordered. The waitress asked if we wanted any steak sauce, which was totally unecessary because this steak is infused with juiciness and flavor right from the kitchen. The simple steamed baked potato loaded w/ butter and sourcream it came with was a bit pedestrian, but who cares - this ribeye was the bomb! The self-serve salad bar and appetizers were fine, but the steak is THE thing here. I finished the whole thing and relished every single bite with ease, which I can rarely do nowadays. If you're a steak lover who just happens to find themselves in Pine Bluff like I did, you have to try Colonial Steak House.
What a treasure! The staff at the Colonial Steak House is marvelous, attentive, courteous, and helpful. The food is everything you can imagine from a local standout. Everything from appetizers to desserts were wonderful on our most recent visit. Try it, you will not be disappointed!
